Vanessa Dummett

One of the hardest things about starting your own business is having to write about yourself … without sounding arrogant or cheesy. 

So, I’m putting myself in your shoes as a potential client and asking what it is you would want to know.

I’m sure it’s not my bad taste in 80’s music you’re interested in, or my obsession with all things Italian, or my love of the colour pink.

You want to know that I’ve got the goods to advise you on your people and your business.

I’ve found a career I enjoy and am good at. I love working with people and learning about different businesses. 

Over the last 20 years, I’ve had roles in NZ and overseas (including London, New York and Norway). I’ve worked in financial services, casino operations and luxury retail. 

I’m passionate about what I do. I get great satisfaction from seeing the impact good HR practices can have on a business and its people. 

I’m authentic, down to earth and can see opportunities - even in the thick of a challenge. I can develop effective solutions to be quickly implemented into any business – large or small.

When I’m not at work - and not dreaming of my next trip to Italy (!) - I’m usually catching up with friends over a good meal or a glass of wine … or chasing my kids at one of Auckland’s amazing beaches. 

 

Nicole Francis

As Patrick Swayze once said, “nobody puts Baby in the corner”. This is my approach to supporting business. I help organisations to thrive and succeed by thinking outside of the square … while ensuring nobody stays in the corner.

For over 20 years, I’ve worked in small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and large corporations across New Zealand and overseas. I understand the importance people place in building a successful business.

I have a passion for building engaged workforces. I help businesses to develop open and transparent working environments. The solutions I implement ultimately lead to an improvement on a business’ bottom line.

We all have a superpower. While mine is not quite Captain Marvell, I’m a dynamic professional who will work closely with you as a CEO, business owner or entrepreneur. I’ll work to understand the commercial aspect and heartbeat of your company to deliver the right outcomes.

I have worked across various disciplines including account management, sales, operations, and generalist and strategic HR. I’m pragmatic and innovative when providing the right solutions for a business.

In my spare time you’ll find me chasing after my kids and dog. I enjoy escaping outdoors to go walking, biking with the kids and challenging them on the boogie boards at the beach. I also love to expand the mind by reading (when there is any downtime!)
